9 January 2008 - Big School

Andrew started mini "big school" today and has gone into Grade 000 at Woodhill College. I can't believe that my little boy is there already and this all at the age of only 3!!! It went quite well and there were a few tears shed (as expected), but it is just a matter of adjustment and I am sure he is going to settle in well and be very happy there.

New Year 2007/2008

The entire Cross family went out to Al's farm for new year and we had an absolute ball! The cousins played like there was no end and we "kuier-ed", swam and generally relaxed. Ed and Andrew decided to camp for the 2 nights that we were there (must be a male thing) and Burnard, Vanessa and the kids joined them the 2nd night. New Year's was not even considered and we were in bed by 10pm, but woke up to the fire-works and crackers in the area at 12pm. New Year's day itself was glorious!!

December Holiday 2007

We are back from a wonderful 2-week holiday in the Western Cape! Ed, myself and the boys went down to Cape Town by train (Premier Classe) on Sunday 16 December and after a night in glorious Cape Town (it is really a beautiful city) we took a leisurely drive up the coast to George. We spent the night in George with Jean, Tracey and their kids and then went to Plettenberg Bay on 19 December. In Plett it was my little family, my mom, Ouma, Robert (brother from London), Brenda (sister from London) and Nic (mom's boyfriend). We stayed in a beautiful 4-bedroom house in the heart of Plett and really had a good time. We shopped, chatted, ate too much and just generally enjoyed each other's company. It was so good to see my siblings again and spend a bit of quality time with my family.
